Gift Ideas- Pastor Apprec. Month

Some great ideas for Pastor Appreciation Month

1. Offer to babysit
2. Dinner out- restaurant gift cards/certificates.
3. A month of meals- the church family signs up for one nite to bring supper to the pastoral family
4. A Year of meals- sign up to bring your pastor a meal once a month for a year!
5. Send A Card. Never underestimate the impact of a heart-warming card. Include a personal message of what you specifically appreciate.
6. Gas cards.
7. Car Wash tokens/gift cards.
8. Dry cleaning certificate- those suits need it!
9. Go a step farther and have your church family purchase your pastor a new suit! [note: for female pastors- a gift certificate to a boutique is good.]
10. Overnite stay at a bed and breakfast- again from whole church family.
11. For a young family (like mine) how about lining up monthly babysitting for a year- so that the couple could go out at least once a month!
12. A study Bible or other resource your pastor would really like.
13. Spa certificate for the pastor’s wife or a female pastor.
14. Gift card to a Christian book store
15. Free house cleaning (One lady gives me 2 free hours and lets me schedule when- I always have her come a couple of days before Christmas as that is a very busy time for me as a youth pastor and I also have my side of the family over for Christmas dinner.)
16. Simple- leave your pastor’s favorite snack/candy bar on his desk.
17. A pot of fall mums or better yet- go rake their yard!
18. Mowing service or line up people in the church for yard work/upkeep for the next year.
19. Laypersons Service- give your pastor the day off and shower him/her with appreciation during a worship service!
20.  Use your imagination- look towards your talents and gifts and how you can use those to give to your pastor.
