Thought I'd share something I wrote to my teens . . . . hope you enjoy it and/or it touches your heart. God Bless.
Have compassion on my, LORD, for I am weak. Heal me LORD, for my body is in agony. Psalm 6:2 I bet we've all been at that point! When you've given all you've got body and soul and you feel weak and dried up . . . . do you call out to God? Do you call on the LORD to help you right away or do you wait until you find you haven't been able to "fix" things yourself and go to Him as your "last resort" instead of your first piece of advice? Sometimes we think we are meant to do things on our own. Sometimes something seems so easy or straight forward that we don't think we need to seek God's advice or make sure we're on the same page as Him, so to speak. I don't know about you but it's when I've developed this attitude that I begin to slip further and further away from daily time with the LORD. I forget that he needs to be consulted about EVERYTHING in my life- the good stuff as well as the problems. Know what? There are times when I haven't consulted God on the good stuff and the good stuff has turned out very badly. Ever had that happen to you? Me too! So- go to God before you are weak! Check out Psalm 86 (yes the whole chapter- it's quite short). In Christ and with Prayer- Amy The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.
