New Blogs You've Got to SEE!

I have to share with you all a couple of new blogs I have found by "accident" and am sooooo enjoying reading. I loved their blogs so much that I went back into the archives to read past posts (took me a couple of days . . . . )

Mrs. Wilt at Sparrow's Nest is such a LADY! She not only collects hats but she wears them too! She likes to wear her hats to church along with a pair of gloves when the weather permits and she always has a hanky in her Bible. She's done some decluttering challenges and shares with us all the wonderful before and after pictures. She also did an experiment where she wore dresses for an entire week and blogged about it (along with daily photos of her in her dress of the day). I was so taken with the posts that I am thinking of having an All Dresses week myself- except that I need a few more dresses to stretch out the week. But it's on my list of things I'd like to "try". She shares her craft projects with wonderful how-to instructions and detailed pictures. She is a wonderful hostess!
She has also started her own cyber book club-
Antiqu- Tea Book Society and the first book is The Hidden Art of Homemaking by Edith Schaeffer. I have ordered the book, as I love the title and it sounds wonderful and am planning on joining the book society. What fun!
My 2nd new blog was an off-shoot of reading Mrs. Wilt's blog-
Pleasant View Schoolhouse. The name alone enchanted me! This blog by Anna is another treasure. She and her family live in a converted old schoolhouse where they homeschool too! She shares the family adventures of her and her husband, Mr. Composer, and their 5 wonderful children. She also shares the most beautiful photos and her own decorating challenges. Anna shares wonderful recipes that the family has "tweaked" due to her one son being highly allergic to dairy. She is quite the seamstress too! You should see the dresses and aprons she has made. I just love her 1940's "house" dress! Makes me soooo wish I could sew things like that! This post shows off her latest homemade apron AND her awesome dress!

Both ladies keep their posts short and sweet (something I need to work on) so they are "easy" to check-in with and read while doing "other" things.

Please check out these wonderful ladies and say Hello!

My Husband (DH)-
Mr. Steady

My rock and biggest supporter. The glue that keeps the family sane. He is like deep, deep water- it takes a lot to see a ripple.

DD12- Our Maiden in Waiting- By the world's standard she's a 'tween'. By ours and the Lord's- this is the time of her years of preparation. She is eagerly learning what it means to keep a home and daily becomes more and more of a helper to her Mama.

DD9- Sassafras My Sassy middle child. She holds her own so sweetly and has such an empathetic heart. While real Sassafras is used for flavoring- She is that added sweet flavor to our family.

DS5- Mr. Conductor- The train aficionado in the family. He's the little man and best helper around! He's also the biggest Oreo fiend in the family.
