My four year old daughter!
I have been raised in church almost my entire life. I am married to a wonderful christian man and we have four kids. We are now dealing with struggles that our children face. Even as young as mine our there is so much out in this world that they see that looks good to the eye! My daugther who will be five this month. Watches everyone around her. How they dress, what they say, how they fix their hair. She is only four and she is into how she wants to dress and fix her hair. :) I have had to tell her so many times that she can't wear certain clothes or even makeup. I was so surprised a couple of weeks ago when I took my daughter to a birthday party. All of the little girls besides my daughter were wearing makeup and these girls are four and five years old! Not just lipstick. Eyeshadow, lipstick, mascara, eye liner! It seems that things that I wanted to start doing as a preteen are starting even earlier with my almost five year old!

I have a four year old daughter and I am also amazed at how many little girls have their hair styled and wear makeup. Sometimes she will put on lip gloss with me when we are having girl time but she never leaves the house with lip gloss on. She has never had her hair cut and has no desire to look like the other girls around. It helps that she has three big brothers that she wants to be like. I find it difficult to find appropriate clothing for her and have ended up making clothing when I cannot find it.

I fear for the future of a society where so much is based on looks and material possessions. God help America, we need to change our focus. Satan has made an all out effort to destroy childhood in our nation.

I have one daughter who frowns on the why some in her class dress - wonderful.
But my youngest is looking and I can see her thinking how close to that she would be able to get away with - not so good.
We are trying to teach our son to be mindful. To think of all girls he comes across as he would want his friends to think of his sisters.
Why parents let their daughters out in belts (not skirts) and slogans that most adults would be embarrassed to be seen reading let alone wearing.
