Keeping busy here...

Had another busy week working on our home business...Shawn only had about 2.5 hours of work available at his job (he's laid off), so he spent a lot of time editing our new website and working on our labels and getting everything set up for printing them. He revised our goat milk soap and bath & body labels and made up new ones for massage oils and European spa salts, which I decided to add to a new line I am calling "Soothing Spa." (It fits pretty well with my naturally soothing.com website.) Once I get the rest of my packaging in next week I need to get these items photo'd and on the site, and get them in the businesses where I am already selling my goat milk soap.

Business is really picking up here as the soap really sells itself when people hold and smell it, and we are getting great reviews on how it has helped many with troublesome skin problems, but online sales haven't taken off yet. Still working on getting the site set up, too.

We made several batches of soap in the last week, but ran out of our supply of frozen goat milk. I seperated the 3.5 month old kid from our doe in milk overnight and she gave a lot, so at least I have that now. I guess I will have to get him weaned! If we don't take him away she lets him have almost all of the milk.

Kidding time will be here in 2-3 weeks, so we are getting quarters ready for all the freshening does. It will be an exciting time, and I hope it warms up here. We got close to a foot of snow here yesterday. Actually, it's still snowing. Oh, well...it's bound to warm up eventually.

Hey!

I think you can definitely get that kid weaned. How are all your goats doing? I am so sick of snow. I have track practice in it, and its very cold on the ears and face. We had to run outside on Monday when it was sleeting! Brrr... It's supposed to be warm tomorrow though, hopefully.

I love kidding time!!! Have fun :) I can wait for my kids, only three more months!!!
