New buckling today!

         ~Greetings from our PA mountain homestead~

This morning I got up early to check on our pregnant doe and she had just given birth to a beautiful 12 pound buckling. He is white with a black nose and dorsal stripe and looks very Alpine. She is doing a great job being mommy, and he is very healthy and strong. Once my batteries are charged I will post a picture. Congratulations, Honeydew!!!

Very cool! Did she only have 1 I thought I read before somewhere she usually had twins? Maybe I'm cofusing your goat with someone elses. I get confused eaily.LOL Hope all is still well with the little critter. Enjoy!

I was told that she always had twins...but this time it was just one BIG one. Goat kids average 6-7 lbs birthweight...he was TWELVE!!!
He is doing great. Got pics to post today.
