Making candles today

         ~Greetings from our PA mountain homestead~     

                                                                                                                                                       

Today I am making candles for the first time, to sell at a community yard sale on Saturday. I purchased 50# of pure soy wax and some wonderful autumn fragrances with colors to match. So far I have made caramel pecan, cinnabun, gingerbread, and pumpkin candles. In a few minutes I am going to finish up by making coffee mocha and some eucalyptus ones. I am pouring them into 9 oz. glass hexagon jars.

I am also planning to sell some of my own goat's milk soaps. Perhaps today I will have time to make up a couple more batches, but they will not be cured in time to sell this weekend. Getting the graphics together to make up little cards to attach to the soaps and candles is coming along well. I just might have to bake some cinnamon rolls and honey wheat bread to take along with my other home made items...Who could resist with all these wonderful aromas?

Good girl!!!! The caramel pecan sounds beautiful.... I'll take one of those and one of the cinnabun ones...:)
