Here is a delicious apple cake baked in a bundt pan.
~JEWISH APPLE CAKE~
Mix well:
4 C. thinly sliced apples
6T. sugar
1 1/2 t. cinnamon
Beat these batter ingredients together until smooth:
1 C. oil
2 C. sugar
3 C. flour
3 t. baking powder
1/4 C. orange juice
2 1/2 t. vanilla
4 eggs
Use a 10" greased and floured tube pan. Put in a layer of batter, then apples. Repeat, ending with batter. Pour any juice left from the apples over the top layer of batter. (If there isn't any, I put a very small amount of water,orange or apple juice in the bowl the apples were in, swirl it around to get all the cinnamon and sugar, and pour it over. Makes a bit of a chewy crumbly crust on top.) Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
