Why get into spiritual matters on a Homesteading Blog?

                     ~Greetings from our PA mountain homestead~

I have given this a bit of thought, as I didn't used to feel I should get involved in spiritual matters on this blog and take it "off-topic." How ridiculous is that!

All matters are spiritual, and the success of your homestead rests largely on you, the queen of the castle. So shouldn't following the directions God has given be the first thing you would want to do to receive God's blessing on your home and family?

Now I do not intend to go searching for areas of controversy to stir up trouble and attention. But when I feel the Spirit of God leading me to respond to an issue that is brought to my attention, I will humbly follow His leading. Not to attack anyone, but in love to uphold the truth of the Scriptures and the cause of Christ. There are many other like-minded sisters here on this website, and there are those who are searching. There are those opposed to the Scriptures as well. I do not want to belittle you or make you feel unwelcome here. All of life is a spiritual warfare that I am seeking to fight valiantly but with gentleness, humility and love.

I agree 100%. I don't get into these things often either. Unless, it is something that just really stirs in me.

I agree with you whole heartedly. It is part of my life. God is "smack" right in the middle of it. And to pretend differently is not me. and I do not want the ones who believe differently to be uncorfortable visiting my site. But God will never be hidden. I enjoy your blog.
