These days...

                ~Greetings from our PA mountain homestead~

The soap is curing nicely- I cut the bars and they are beautiful, silky, and a smooth light caramel color. We are getting into the routine of back to school now, and life is returning to normal after a busy summer. (Not that it isn't busy now...just the normal busy for school.)

We have been getting quite a bit of rain here being in the path of Ernesto last weekend and getting rains from the lakes tonight.  Need to go out and pick those plum tomatoes asap...

I'm glad to hear the soap is curing nicely! That's one thing I've never tried to make and am nervous to try to! I did buy some Goat Milk Soap and the boys and I love it!

Hi Annette.. I did not think your comment was rude at all! :) Goat do eat strange things! Usually they will eat things like that when they lack minerals in their diet. We have used this type of board before and not had problems witht hem eating it. Occasionally they lick the walls! LOL.. but prefer a mineral block the walls if there is one out.

Enjoyed seeing the pictures of our goats! And congratulations on your first batch of soap! I have about 4 batches to make next week.. and one to cut today and 3 batches to get wrapped up! It is one of those addicting hobbies for sure! :)
