Here are more pictures of the babies.
We have: feather footed and cochin bantams along with australorps, giants, turkens, buff rocks, sussex, brahmas, and orpingtons, which is a mix of brown layers. The bigger ones seem to get along with the bantams even though the bantams are so tiny. Having fun being a mother hen!

I love your desire for old things! Our old farmhouse is filled with "finds" such as yours and it gives me great comfort to make mine old. I love the way it feels wanted and useful and friendly. Our kitchen table was that way, tossed aside and not loved....but I adore it now with its wide planks and turned leg and how red apples shine on top of it!
