Friday
Not a very exciting day around here, but I will share it anyway...........
This morning was spent taking care of these little monster chickens and a few other hungry critters. Watering in the greenhouse takes some time now as it is full, but it will become less very soon. We will continue to set things out and take the hanging baskets to Farmer's Markets. Right after lunch we pulled green onions and radishes, washed and washed and bundled them for the Market this afternoon. (We had a little over an inch of rain last night) Hubby then loaded up and headed for the Market at Burlington. He felt that it went pretty well, didn't sell much meat, but some eggs and quite a few various pots of flowers. While he was gone I pulled a few weeds and did chores. Some friends came over for a visit and were still here when hubby got home. We sent a few tomato plants and a start from the lilac bush home with them. Before they left another couple stopped by to get some eggs, we had a nice visit with them too!
While I was fixing supper I started some Lemon Poppy seed bread and Muffins for Market in the morning. Here it is 11:30 and I am still up, need to get myself to bed as we will have to get up bright and early in the morning. Will have to take care of the monster chickens and a few others before leaving for Market in Emporia. I still have to wrap the bread and muffins and then calling it a day.

I hope you got enough rest last night!
I hope you got enough rest last night! Good luck at the market today, our Farmer's market hasn't started yet, I can't wait. We don't sell, but we buy things every weekend once it's up and running.
Hugs,
Lisa
