Windy, Windy, Windy
My goodness...........the wind is unbelievable here! Last night I looked out the kitchen window before bed and found that the door to the duck pen was flapping in the wind, so decided to brave it and fix it. Well, while I was out, I checked out the baby chicks and found that they were cold, the window in their house had blown out! So after a "help" call to hubby, we got them all fixed back up. This morning the wind is still howling.......sounds like winter, yuck!! Everything seems fine this morning with the critters. Some things blown around, but nothing serious. The rain gauge says .10 apparently the rain came sideways as I am pretty sure it rained more than that!
I am so Thankful that we have not had the damage that so many have had this week from storms. I pray for them as they deal with it all!
Grandaughter is here, she came Wednesday afternoon and will be here until Sunday. So we are having a good time. She loves to be outside so the weather isn't working so well there, but yesterday afternoon it was not bad while she helped me with chores. She is enjoying the youngest baby goat, and has named her Honey Bun. I showed her the baby kittens, of course I had to expain that if we play with them too much the mama will hide them. That is hard to understand at age 4!
Today is Grandparents Day at 2 of our Grandkid's school. However they are neither one there today, so we didn't attend. Some of our family are in Oklahoma at the sand dunes this weekend. We spent many weekends there when the boys were little.........it stayed in their blood, and they really enjoy going a few times each year with their families.
Have a great Friday.............Country Blessings,
