Soft, cute little baby chicks!

We got 116 sweet little chicks last evening!  They are Cornish cross meat birds.........it amazes me how cute they are right now and how ugly they will be in 7 weeks!!!  Hubby went to pick them up in the afternoon, I stayed home and got their new home ready.  He stopped by 4 year old Grandaughter's house for her to see them on the way home.  After dipping their beaks, they started right in drinking and eating.  Wouldn't you know it got down to 34 degrees last night........brrr, but they had 3 heat lamps and seemed to do fine over night!

How exciting! I'm expecting mine after lunch today and have everything waiting for them. That's so true about them being so cute now and so ugly later! HA!

I am planning on ordering some in May. DD2 and ds are going to raise some for the fair. I can`t wait to get ours. Thank you for sharing a photo of them. Could you maybe share another photo in two and then in four. Sorry I know that is a lot to ask for but I would love to see how big they get and what they will look like in four weeks. Sheryl
