Garden surprise
Look what grew in our garden today...............

Yes, a lovely new electrical pole is now right at the edge of our garden! There has never been electric service on east past our house. It is 5 miles from our place to a very small town, and only pasture land in between. The railroad track is about a mile and a half from us and they are now running a line from here to it. We do get a new pole set in our yard for service to our house and a new transformer, so that may help our electrical service. They also paid to have a huge tree in the way cut down.........problem, it was on the southwest corner of our house so provided tons of shade in the summer......good thing, it was probably 100 years old and not in the best shape, so we were afraid it would die soon and we would have to pay for it to be taken down.
These are starting to bloom on the east side of our house.

A nice day here today, except for the wind!
Daisy kidded this morning with a single......yes I said single, buckling weighing in at 10 pounds. Every year she is huge and every year so far she has had a single buckling. I was busy taking pictures of light poles, so no picture of him yet...........
Some really good friends of ours stopped by this morning for a visit! What a nice surprise that was!
Then we went to pick up the proofs of the Grandkids picture. They turned out good, now just have to decide which one is the best for the free one we will get.
While doing chores this afternoon, I noticed that Salsa has a bag bigger than any I have ever seen!! I believe she is in early labor, so she is penned beside Daisy tonight waiting her turn to kid. She wasn't due until Saturday, so I wouldn't mind if she waited a couple of days, but I don't think her bag will wait that long.
Tonight's supper was mostly leftovers from Saturday's big dinner, so it was easy, that was nice.
