A Special Easter Weekend

 It is almost over, but Happy Easter to all and I hope it was a special day for you and your family! 

What a busy and wonderful weekend it was for us.  Friday was spent rushing around cleaning and cooking and playing with our grandson and chores and......................  Finally about 1am hitting the sack!  Then I couldn't go to sleep.  I had done everything I wanted to do so it wasn't laying there thinking about what still needed to be done like sometimes.  Nick was such a great help while he was here, he helped me dust,  filled Easter eggs with candy, frosted and decorated the cupcakes, helped Grandpa haul hay, do chores, etc! 

Saturday morning we got Nick ready and he and I went to meet the family at 9:30 for pictures.  (Hubby stayed home to get dinner cooking)   Now I still can hardly believe this really happened, BUT IT DID!  We were able to get all of the Grandkids together for a professional photograph.  I had a cupon for a free 8x10 with free sitting fee at a local studio.  I got the crazy idea to see if we could get everyone together and decided Easter would be a good time.  I was amazed that it did work out, but so Thankful it did!  One of the oldest is getting married in June and I knew after that it would be even harder to plan, so this was the perfect time.  We will get to see the photos this week, can't wait.  I will let you know how they turned out.

Then it was  back to our house for Easter dinner.  There were 21 here, so it was a housefull!!  But although it was chilly outdoors, they were able to be in and out to play with the animals and hunt Easter eggs.  The older grandkids hide the eggs for the younger ones to find, I don't know which group has the most fun??

The kitchen group...........The one last place available is for me, and I have even filled my plate before I decide to take some pictures!  I just had to have one of Madelyn sitting in the booster chair for the first time at Grandma's house.

This morning hubby and I attended Easter sunrise service which is held a couple miles from our house overlooking the lake.  It was chilly up on that hill, but they have a fire to warm up around, and I just love to be outside that time of the morning!   Then regular service was at 10 this morning.   Following that we took Mom to Emporia and we ate and goofed around a while, it was a quiet, relaxing type of day which was nice after yesterday.   A nice Sunday afternoon nap followed and then chores. 

No new babies since Wednesday, but Daisy is due tomorrow and I penned her up this evening just in case.  She is big as a barrel or two! This picture of her was taken 2 weeks ago, she is bigger now.

Wow, I really enjoyed seeing all the pictures. I thought my house was full with 10! I just about wore myself out on Saturday with all that cooking!
