Out on the Town
Well, about as much as we get out anyway! Hubby asked me this afternoon if I would like to go out to eat on a date with him tonight? Well of course I said yes! So after chores were finished, we got cleaned up and headed to Emporia. We ate at Golden Corral, hubby's favorite places are buffets because he is a very picky eater and he can eat all he wants of what he likes there. I pretty much fill up on the salad bar. It was enjoyable and we felt like we deserved it as our anniversary is February 12 and I was sick as a dog that day and then by Valentines Day on the 14th we were both sick!! So this was our little celebration.
Then of course Wal Mart is right next door, so we went over there and looked around a little. The only exciting find was they had some petunia and tomato plants!! That was a sure sign that spring is really here!
We got a little rain last night, so that will help the seeds we planted in the garden this week, however it will have to warm up a lot for them to want to peek their little heads out of the ground! It was quite chilly here again today.
No new goat kids today. I straightened things in the house a bit this morning. I have started in every room and have my usual pile of ~what do I do with this~ left overs........so I made up my mind to do something with it today. I actually did get several things done.
This afternoon while feeding hay, I was overwhelmed with a feeling of thankfulness. I just stated telling the Lord all of the things that came to mind that I am thankful for big and little things. It was a special little time between him and I!
