Thinking about Farmers Market

This afternoon we had a pot luck dinner and meeting to get ready for the upcoming Farmers Market season.  Dh has made more friends at this market than I have because I don't attend it as often, but it was a good time and good food!   This one has been going for 25 years and is in a town about 20 miles from us.  Five years ago I started one in our own little town and they are both on Saturday morning, so most weeks he goes to one and I am here.  This year we also hope to attend one on Tuesday afternoon and another on Friday evening.  It sounds great now, but in July when it is 100 degrees out, it won't be much fun!  Friday is such a busy day for me preparing for the Saturday market, I doubt that I will be able to go with him to that one very often.

Before the meeting we made arrangements to meet several customers to deliver products to them.  During the winter we have done this about once a month for our best Farmers Market customers.  It is fun to see them every once in a while and they sure appreciate the service!  I was literally running to the chicken house minutes before we left in hopes that the hens had laid enough eggs this morning to finish out the egg orders...........would you believe I got exactly enough!!  I got 5 more this evening, so the girls did good today!

No more new goat kids yet, about 5 of them look like they could pop any time now.  Here is an example:

It is kind of hard to tell, but she has the most beautiful dark brown head!

We were not able to attend church again this morning, Dh did many chores while I got food ready to take to the meeting.  Then I did a few more chores before we left.  We have been sick for the past several Sundays and now a busy day, so next week we will get back into the routine!

It was the most wonderful spring like day here finally!  We are supposed to have several nice days I hear.
