Grand Babies & Goat Babies

Praise the Lord there were no new babies born last night when it was so cold!  I went out at 3:30 to check and the wind had died down, so it wasn't too bad then.  The clouds had moved out and the sky was full of beautiful stars.  I just love that time of night.........now understand I would just as soon be snuggled in our warm bed..........but when I do go out I am always amazed at the beauty and quiet of the night.  It makes me feel so close to the Lord.

No babies during the day today either.  There are several girls looking very close!  Daisy was due today, Pumpkin I don't have a date for, but I bet she goes next, then there is Lilly and Cinnamon due within the week.  Salsa is down for the 29th, but I expect she would explode if she waited that long!!  Now we only have 1 birthing pen empty...........so I looked them all over good at feeding tonight and wondered who should be moved to the pen.  I haven't moved any of them yet, will see what should be done at bedtime check, and yes, tonight there will also be the 3am run.  It was chilly today, but so much nicer than yesterday and I don't think it is to get really cold tonight.  They have a barn they sleep in, so if someone kids in there it would be ok I am sure. 

This afternoon Dh, Mom and I went to our Grandson's basketball game.  It was his last one and the first one we attended.  He was pleased to see us.  He had made a basket at his first game, so today I asked him if he was going to make a basket today...of course he said yes.  He made the first one for his team!  Yeah Nick!!   He came right up to me and said "I told you I would make a basket and I did!"  He is only 8 so they don't "keep score"  however he reported that his team had won or tied all of their games. 

He is #5, not a great picture but he has the ball.  All of the pictures I got were of his back.

Of course we got to see our 9 month old Granddaughter too.  For some reason I didn't take a picture of her??  She is pulling herself up now and taking those first precious steps, so cute. 

On the way home we stopped for a late lunch, then home to do chores.  That was my Saturday.  It was very enjoyable, hope yours was as well.
