My Poor Back

I don't usually have back problems, Dh does and now I know how he feels. 

The story is as follows:  Time to feed the goats, I have them shut in the barn, I put the feed buckets by the gate while I go into the pen to turn over their feed pans,  they break out of the barn, I go into the barn to try to trap them again, hear a distressing Baaaaaaa coming from near the gate.........OH NO, there is a pile of goats with heads stuck in the fence trying to reach the feed though the fence!   There were 2 heads through each little hole in the cattle panel, that isn't good, they go through a lot easier than they go back out.  The ground is so wet, the  t-post is leaning and the panel is almost on the ground.  One poor girl, Star, is near the bottom with her head in the mud, and her body upside down on top of who knows how many other goat bodies!  My heart is racing and I am praying like crazy, I just know there will be a few dead goats before I can get them untangled.  I was able to call some of them out of the way by promising them food in another spot, I lifted the fence with a bunch of goats  still attatched,  strained my back!   I got some of the littler heads pushed back through, which allowed the others to pull their heads out.  Thank you Lord!  When it was all over several of them and me just stood in shock for a while trying to recover.  Everyone appears to be fine, and IF I can get out of bed in the morning I think I will be fine too.

The good news is that I was able to get CDT shots to most of the expectant mothers this afternoon before all of the excitment happened.  I intended to catch the rest while they were eating for their shots, but that isn't going to happen until tomorrow  at least............

Today was just beautiful, temps in the 60's, Thank you Lord for that too, we worked outside all afternoon.  Snow is coming again though.  Spring today, winter tomorrow!

This morning some of the stuff that had been hanging out in the dining room found a home somewhere else..........so a little decluttering was done today as I had planned.

So sorry to hear about your back. I have back problems myself so I can understand. I hope you get some rest and get healed up quickly!
