I missed Valentines Day.......so Happy Belated Valentines Day to my friends here! 

Our youngest son brought 3 year old GD down on that evening to stay for a couple of days and ate supper with us that night.  So a little celebration of sorts, we had fried chicken, mashed taters & gravy and home canned grean beans, along with son's favorite cake in honor of his Birthday a couple of weeks ago.  Dh cooked while I finished up chores outside, so that was really nice too!  I stirred up the cake just before they arrived, it is nice because you can serve it warm....it was a little too warm that night, should have started a little sooner.  However, I was delayed because 7 year old GS called to let us know that they had just found out that the new GB coming in June looks to be a little girl!!  We had all thought girl all along, although he was voting for a brother.  He told me that is ok, he is wanting a healthy baby!  How special is that!  I told him that is what we are all praying for.  I told him he will  have to start thinking about a girl name now.........and he told me he wasn't getting involved in that!

Wow!  Having a 3 year old around is quite tiring, she has quite a bit more energy than we do.

The wind chill was below 0 all day yesterday, so she couldn't go out and play with the goats.  She and Grandpa did make one quick trip to the barn.  We had a new baby first thing yesterday morning, and it got cold quickly........so it was fine with her to have that baby in the bathroom warming up all morning.

The Lawn and Garden show is going on this weekend, and we would love to attend.  About ready for something to look at besides snow!!  However, we have one goat girl, Nutmeg, that is still holding out having her kids.  She was due the 14th, so will have to go today or tomorrow at the lastest I would think.  If she pops in the next few hours, we may still get to go.  That would be nice, because then we also should have a break for about 1 1/2 weeks before barn checks will start up again for the next batch of kids!

Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

Measure and blend together:

1 C. flour

3/4 C. sugar

2 T. cocoa

2 tea. baking powder

1/4 tea. salt

1/2 C. milk

2 T. oil

Pour into ungreased 9x9 dish.

Stir together:

1 C. brown sugar  and  1/4 C. cocoa

Sprinkle over batter.

Pour 1 3/4 C. very hot water over batter.  (Almost boiling)

Bake 45 minutes at 350.

Serve warm and Enjoy!

(Cold isn't bad either)
