13 Years!

Today we are celebrating being married for 13 years!  It is funny, because last year we both thought it was 13 and on the day of our anniversary I got to thinking that we were married in 1994........so it was only 12!  Dh had a Dr. appointment and I couldn't go along because of "baby watch" so after he got home, I had outdoor chores pretty much done and we went out to eat to celebrate a little.  I have been so tied down with goat kids that I had not been even into town for over a week, so I suppose it didn't hurt me to get cleaned up and get away for a change.  We were only gone a little less than 2 hours and no new arrivals during that time, so all is well.

We have 12 babies on the ground now.  One looking very close and one due on Wednesday, then maybe after that I can do away with the night time checks until March when another batch will be coming due.  One mama does not have any milk, so have been working with her twins, and that has taken extra time and effort.  I have one grafted onto another doe, but I believe I will have to start the other one on a bottle.  The doe I am trying to graft him onto is just not interested in having another child!  I love bottle babies, but feel like the doe would be better for him. 

Dh saw a surgeon today concerning his back problems, and good news he didn't think he needs surgery!  We were not considering surgery unless it was the only option anyway, just a really scary thing where the back is concerned.  The bad news is this Dr. told him he has Rhuematoid arthritis.  That is the cause of many of his aches and pains.  At least it is good to know the cause instead of just wondering.

A really gloomy misty day today, not cold, but not really bad to be out working in.  It is supposed to be bitter wind chills in the morning, and some snow is headed our way.
