Bread.........Babies
Started out the morning getting some bread started, all of you who talk about baking so often have inspired me! I made quite a bit last summer in cinnamon rolls to sell. I make my Mom's recipe called Hay Hand Rolls, it makes a large batch that was enough to feed the crew putting up hay years ago. That brings back memories of those days, my job was to set up a table outside the door for them to wash up before dinner. I don't remember a lot else except lots of mashed potatoes! The neighbors would all work together at each others place to get the hay put up and where ever they were working that family fed them at noon. I am tired now, but will try to remember to post the recipe later.
My intention was to clean......and declutter....our closet today. Just before I got started on that project, I went to check the girls at the barn and sure enough Bambi was starting labor. So in a short time we had twin bucklings! Back to the closet, I got Dh's side done finally a little while ago. He was gone most of the day to Dr. appointment and went through some jeans to tell me yes or no when he got home so I could finish up. Maybe my side tomorrow??
It will be a little bit more work.......I have a lot more stuff!!
Dh took the grocery list so that is done for a while, hopefully will not need much the rest of the month. He is great at doing most of the shopping, in the summer he does it almost entirely. It helps to save some as I usually see something I "need" when I go and he is pretty good to stick to the list.
Well....about time to head to the barn again for the midnight check. Not getting a lot of sleep these days! It has been over a week now of around the clock baby watch, with not much relief in site.
God's blessings on you, yours and the work of your hands.
