Heritage Hill Homestead

What a beautiful day!

Today was just a wonderful day, temps around 60! It was so warm this afternoon that I had to take off my coat and still got warm with just a sweatshirt on........how is that for February!  Another cold spell is coming right back, is not supposed to be above freezing again for another week.  The Lord really gave us a glimpse of spring today, made me want to plant some garden.  Of course the warm day melted the snow and the ground is really soggy, so I guess it wouldn't have been a good day to plant anyway.........just dreaming.

I spent all afternoon outside so didn't get much done as far as laundry and such today.  We had leftovers for lunch and supper.  I did make some potato salad after lunch and it really tasted good.  I have no idea what made me think of it as I ususally only make it in the summer.

No new babies today, it would have been a perfect day weather wise.  I moved one mama so the familes are in pens next to each other, and the still waiting girls are in the same area. I put a new bale of straw in the chicken house this morning, and they had an enjoyable day scattering that around.

Tonight is a monthly auction we like to attend, but needed to stay close to home. Just as well, I am feeling tired this week.  Didn't go to bed until almost 1:30 last night and then up at 4:30 and 6:30!  I think tonight when I finish here, I will check the barn and then get comfy in the recliner until midnight.

We are in Ms. and here it was a beautiful day too. I like it when it's about 60-80. Ofcourse, it wont be too long until it is in the 90's around here.

Yeah the weather is crazy, we are wearing shorts here in Louisiana. And oh my gosh, your kids are the cutest little things.
