Ice everywhere!
Well, winter has caught up with us! We had sleet over the weekend, and have several inches of ice covering everything here now. It wasn't slick the first couple of days, but the sun has shined just enough to make it very slick out now. The temp is supposed to rise a little above freezing tomorrow.
We had one of the grand daughters here for 3 days last week, what fun that is! She went with us to the Farm Show and had a great time. She will be 3 on Sunday, so will have a Birthday party to attend.
Here is a picture of her last fall feeding the ducks at our place, she had such fun with them!

We have been experimenting with making beef and deer jerky this week, it has turned out really good.
Jim made some peach jam last night while I was at work, it hit the spot this morning on toast........yummy! We are starting to get ready for Farmer's Market season. Right now with the temps around 0 it is hard to imagine that it will soon be one of those hot summer days at Market!
I made laundry soap yesterday. This is only the third time I have made it since I started about 1 1/2 years ago, so it lasts a long time! I added some lavendar fragrance this time since I had it handy.

How do you make your soap?
Be careful in the snow and ice!
