Clean up & pups
Direct my footsteps according to your word. Psalm 119:133
Yesterday morning a friend brought over his skid loader and did a wonderful job of cleaning up our fire mess. In less than an hour he had moved all of the remaining hay and debris. He just moved it back by the hedge row behind the chicken house.........we have the biggest compost pile ever! I should take a picture of it for you. The area where the building sat is perfectly smooth and clear, how wonderful.

So, since I happened to know apple pie is his favorite........I baked him an apple pie today! I also made another apple, a cherry, and a coconut for the Diner. Tomorrow I will make cinnamon rolls. I didn't find out until later this morning what the order was, I like to start the rolls by at least 9.
Gasp! I had to have 3 eggs to make the coconut pie and we only had 2, after a trip to the hen house and finding no egg.........hubby had to go to town and buy a dozen eggs! We also had forgotton to go and get milk last evening, so he also had to buy milk in town. We like to buy it from a local dairy. These pullets should start to lay in the next week or so, I sure hope so.
Here is a picture of Sadie's pups. They are 4 1/2 weeks old already.

Rowdy (daddy) is relaxing with some goats while Sadie feeds the babies.

First, I have to ask.. where's the snow? LOL I know Kansas doesn't look like Minnesota in the winter. I bet that's a wonderful feeling to have the mess cleaned up.
Oh, that is funny about the eggs. So far, I've had enough eggs for us but not always enough for an egg customer.
Stay warm!
