Thankful...

We had a good day! So thankful for a day of rest. ... A day of rest from manual labor, anyway. I was song leader for Sabbath school and then taught the Primary class. Then we all scooted over to our sister church to meet the new prospective pastor and his family for church service. I am not even allowed the luxury of sitting back and being an observer,  even there... I direct our children's choir and today we sang special music and also sang during the offeratory. I had 28 kids today. They did great as always! I love it! Really I wouldn't want to sit back and relax... those kids are such a blessing. So, then we had a family over for lunch. They are our dear friends moved back into town from Alaska just this past Thursday. At 5:30 we had a soup and salad potluck at our church and a time of dialog with the new pastor. It was really cool to find out Vanessa had met their oldest son two years ago in - Tanzania, of all places! Actually, their son is great friends with my brother in Africa. For vespers I organized the kids to play their violins, flute, and cello and piano and lead out in the songs. We arrived home at 10 pm. That was our day of "rest".
