Painting the Barn

We got a good start on the barn and used up a few gallons of paint. I think we would have finished but we had a few interruptions. First we had to have the vet out as the horse looked like she was in terrible pain. He gave a shot of bute and some instruction for continuing with powder. She came to us with an injury and it has steadily gotten worse over the months. This morning she tried to run to greet me, while she was still excited to see me and talking, it seemed she was really asking for help and I could see she had great difficulty walking. Vet says we shouldn't ride her anymore. My DH sprained his finger something terrible when she fell down on her way out of the pasture to where the vet was. His finger is purple. Poor Steve and poor Bella!
We were just finishing up with the vet when the people arrived to pick up Kimmy one of the puppies. An hour later another couple arrived to take a look at the last two pups and they spent an hour. Could not decide which one to take. Had to go and sleep on it. They will be back Sunday morning. They loved them both and both are so different it's hard to choose.
Steve got the yard sprinkler system up and running for the season. He also fixed the pipe at the barn so the kids can water the horse more easily. His next project on his day off Tuesday is to get the automated garden drip going so I don't have to water by hand.
