We've been busy little beavers all day. Christina made a couple loaves of bread first thing this morning while I wrapped the one present we had ready. Then she and I went and delivered it and did the grocery shopping. I learned how to spell pummelo while I was at the store. That had been bugging me since we ate that giant pile of pummelos at Lake Malawi and my computer couldn't recognize any variation of the word I typed. For Jason's information they are $2.99 each in the store. Christina wanted me to buy one. I suggested we just enjoy the special memory of Lake Malawi and all the pummelos we could eat.
For our Xmas Eve lunch we had Mr. Noodle with fresh, tiny asparagus tips and served with a squirt of lemon juice, a splash of soy sauce and plenty of diced tomatoes. Tangerines and V8 rounded out the meal and we picked at pomegranate seeds for desert.
For our Xmas Eve supper I made a couple of vegan pizzas which we ate by candlelight. Kristen brought us some Xmas treats - homemade caramel popcorn and spicy hot chocolate mix, so we had the caramel popcorn and apple cider with sliced bosc and anjou pears.
I don't usually list all the foods we eat

, but today was our day to eat all the things we thought we would like to eat while we were in Mago when Memere was gone and the fresh fruit and veggies and flour had all run out. Pizza was #1 on the list!

Christina and I are busy with our traditional Christmas Nuts and Bolts. That recipe sure makes a huge batch. I know we will be quite tired of it in about a month from now.

I am always grateful that any of the three girls are capable of making very good bread without assistance. It helps me out a lot.
We still don't have our dog home yet, but Tank is here for a few weeks. He's Holly's pup and a very good, beautiful dog. He was sitting by the door where he was suppose to be, but it was rather like sitting in the corner while we were enjoying a good meal together. Slowly but surely he worked his way to a spot where he could see us but after being discovered he figured he might as well join us at the table! Silly dog.
I am tired enough to go to bed but tonight at 9 pm we provide the music for the UCC church Xmas Eve program.
