Dear Emily,
Happy Birthday! I hope you had a wonderful day and pray that you will have a great year!
Thank you so much for the note on the blog. I love hearing from home and all my friends.
It has been a little more lonely since Dakota and Natalie lift, but since we have moved into the house instead of the church Brianna and I have shared a little room together (actually it will be a bathroom) and that’s been fun. It’s also quite nice to have somewhere quiet to go. I have also enjoyed more jobs since the others left. I cook meals and do way more dishes LOL! It’s fun, though.
Today we painted filled holes with mud and sanded the windows of the church. Someone in our group described the last month and half as an on-going work bee. But actually lots of our time was spent on the orphan home that we are now living in.
Although, we have worked hard, I have enjoyed the whole trip! The kids here are fun and I enjoyed doing VBS with them and playing with them! Soon we will visit Lake Malawi. That will be great!
That is great that you played the piano for our church. I am sure they really enjoyed your music. You can be sure I really miss my piano and harp. I only have been around a piano twice, but I will go to visit Kibidula again and I will get to play some more. YEAH!
Well, I wish you could be here with me. I‘ll be home before you know it, though.
Lots of love,
Your friend
Vanessa
