Vanessa is 15 years old today and today was the big symphony concert!!!! Vanessa did a wonderful performance of her harp concerto. We are very proud parents of a beautiful, accomplished young lady.

Here are some of the girl's friends who attended the concert to hear them. There were a lot of people who came to encourage the girls. Unfortunately I took this picture a little late and Dakota, Emily, Shiana and Sam had already left for home. However, it's a fun picture.... dear cousin Isaac is enjoying being front and center with the girls :-) We were blessed with Uncle Bob and Auntie Joy's visit this Thanksgiving weekend. It was nice of them to come and see the girls play with the symphony and see us off to Africa.

Well, I think you'd better leave these young ladies right here after you're done your visit! There's not too many young ones of the opposite sex lurking around here. :) Thanks for posting the pictures! They sure looked beautiful and I'm happy all went well. Now... on another note... how are your readers going to cope with a two month absence from you? :) Are you going to put a little 'farewell for now' post? :) You'll have to come to our house now and then to post an update. if only to wet their appetite for more. Happy Birthday to Vanessa. I read your blog often and you have such talented girls. 15 is a wonderful age I think. I have two nieces who turned 15 this year (one is named Vanessa, actually). It is such a treat to see them coming into their own at that age. Figuring out what life will bring, etc.

I'm so happy the girls did so well! They look abolutely stunning in those beautiful dresses. You guys pulled it all off so nicely. Now for your trip tomorrow. We are having Thanksgiving dinner with about 25 people today at our house. I hope I pull it all off as well as you do.

What a night! We are not musical and I just cannot imagine what that would be like, but I love harp music and violins, too. Your house I'm sure has it's days of bad notes, but what music it must make!
