The Granola Recipe

Granola
12 c. quick oats
4. c. macaroon coconut
2. c. wheat germ
1. c sunflower seeds
1/2 c. flax meal
1. c whole nuts
Mix dry ingredients together.
2. tsp. salt
1 c. water
4 tsp. Vanilla
1 tsp. almond extract, or maple flavoring, or lemon extract... etc.
1 c. honey
slightly warm honey and mix wet ingredients together.
Mix all ingredients well.
Bake at 275 stiring every 15 minutes until golden then turn the oven down and allow to dry for several hours at a low temp.
Add dried fruit while still warm.
This is the same recipe I used when I was a teen making and selling granola for my Dad's health food store. I have tried a few other recipes, but I always come back to this one. I still have some in the oven, but I think I am about done!
