Addition to the family!!!!

No, I am not with child...I wish!!!  We got a new puppy!  She is adorable, a full border collie, that the kids first named Sally, however, they never stop with the first name, so after Sally came Jesse then came along Suzy...a few others...until it landed on Lucy!  She is our ideal farm dog although we have no farm to speak of just yet.  So for now she will guard with her life our lil city homestead!

I love puppies (except the house breaking part).

We had a border collie cross that was a real sweetheart (he was also flat coat retriever and some sort of sheppard...HUGE boy!

Well congratulations on your new addition! I've read so many books written by or about Laura Ingalls Wilder and her "Pa" was quoted many times as saying that no place should ever go without a good watchdog. The one they had lived from Laura's early childhood until she was an adult. I agree with Pa!

I have a border collie too! We got her when we bought our trailer - the farmer that owned it wanted to leave her in her home (outside dog) so we said sure. Now we brought her to our new place too. She is an awesome dog!
