Every week we have a breakfast night, and a leftover night, that is why I only plan for 5 meals. I started shopping every two weeks, and it has saved us on average $100 a week because I am able to buy more in bulk. Our new grocery budget is $300/month. I do have to go back in between for fruit, milk and bread, but usually I just have DH do that on his way back from work, that works out well!!
