I've always been told that I need a tan!  What for?  A tan would give the illusion that I'm healthy & vibrant, people say.  Well, okay but I do not tan...period!  I can spend time outside and get a nice red appearance and then when it's healed, it's gone.  Nothing!

My DH suggested to me yesterday evening that I should join him & my girls for some tennis because I "should really get some color to me before heading south." 

Why can't people just accept that I am white?  I have always been this color!  My mom is just as white as I am and my girls are too.  I don't have a problem with being pasty white so why do others? 

I will say that it has been to my benefit at times.  Like in high school when I wanted to go home early....the teachers would think that I was sick because I was so pale.  Ha!  I'm always that color!  So, home I went because I "looked pale"!

Let me tell ya, when we go to Alabama next week, those people down there will know at a glance that I am not from around those parts and that in fact I am from the north. 

So all you people in Alabama put on your sunglasses cuz...

HERE I COME!

You'll know me by my pasty white skin!

LOL. I am with you on this one girl. I have always been whiter than white. I have a girlfriend thaqt swears that I glow in the dark! LOL I have tan friends as well who are encouraging me to get sun. I love being out in the sun, but I have to be careful because I don't tan. I just turn red as a tomato if not careful!
