I've been canning soup today. So far I've canned 18 1/2 quarts.
2 lbs. cooked hamburger 2c. chopped onion 6 cans (14.5 oz.) mixed vegetables 3 cans (29oz.) tomato sauce 3 cans (29oz.) water 1 qt. beef broth (I put 2 beef boullion cubes in a qt. of hot water) 1c. sugar 1T. chili powder 2t. salt 2t. pepper Mix all together. Heat over medium heat til warm. Ladle into jars, wipe rims and place lids on and tighten. Process in water-bath for 2 hours.
