Okay, maybe not a farmer but here is my crop!

This is a picture of the 3 tomato plants that I have on my back deck.

We were over at the neighbor's house last Saturday talking on the porch.  While the neighbor & DH were talking I was looking at his garden.  It's just a small little garden beside his trailer.  I noticed that he had some sucker branches on a few of his plants.  He said that I could snap them off if I wanted them.  So I found 3, snapped them off and planted them into some top soil that night.  One week later they are finally looking like pretty healthy plants!  So hopefully they will produce some tomatoes for us to eat.  We may or may not get some red tomatoes but green ones will work too.  We like to slice them up, dip them in egg & then in flour and fry them.

Congrats on your success! They look like healthy plants. We planted over 60 tomato plants this year (everyone thinks we're nuts) and have a ton of green ones. I was thinking of making a batch of fried green tomatoes and was looking for a recipe. :-)

Thanks for this post. I have been wanting to start a pot vegetable garden but was at a loss for how exactly to do it. You make it look much easier than I thought.
