If thou hast any thing to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify thee. If not, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I shall teach thee wisdom. Job 33:32-33

The Devil's Beattitudes...

The Devil's Beattitude

1. Blessed are those who are too tired, too busy, too distracted to gather once a week with their fellow Christians - they are my best workers.

2. Blessed are those Christians who wait to be asked and then expect to be thanked - I can use them.

3. Blessed are the touchy, who stop going to church - they are my missionaries.

4. Blessed are the trouble makers - they shall be called my children.

5. Blessed are the complainers - I'm all ears to them.

6. Blessed are those who are bored with the church services - for they are not edified during the service.

7. Blessed is the church member who expects to be invited to his own church - for he is a part of the problem instead of the solution.

8. Blessed are those who gossip - for they shall cause strife and division, which please me.

9. Blessed are those who are easily offended - for they will soon get angry and quit.

10. Blessed are those who do not give their time and money to carry on God's work - for they are my helpers.

11. Blessed is he who professes to love god, but hates his brother and sister - for he shall be with me forever.

12. Blessed are you who, when you read this, think about other people and not yourself - I've got you too!

1. What if you gather daily? I just can't find it in Scripture where you have to go to this 'building called church' to fellowship?

2. Amen

3. Again......'church' is more and more the devils playground and less and less the house of The Most High God. I thought it was supposed to be a House of Prayer, not a house of programs, gimmicks, and bribery?

4. Hmmmm are you talking like ladies who love to stir the pot with their inuendo's, gossip and cliques? Or maybe those who gloss over sin and excuse it?

5. Guilty! My oldest tells me to knock it off all the time. I whine about the weather. I whine about my garden. I whine about the price of gas...........It's true. I am ungrateful.
But, I am working on it.........

6. Hmm back to 'church'. I love a good sermon. Not a monologue. Not some watered down hip cool version of the Bible (The Message) that fits into MY agenda..........
Yeah, I have walked out of churches because I don't serve the same god as they...............

7. It sure is nice when you are missed, but you have to be a part, to be missed!! People forget........church SHOULDN'T revolve around people, it SHOULD revolve around God.

8. Ahhhhh the gossip. Don'tcha love em. I have found in the last 10 years, MEN gossip just like women. It's sickening.
Sickening.

9. People get offended when you tell them that their kids are ill behaved, as you help them down out of the curtains with chocolate all over their faces...............but don't take offense to every religion under the sun being practiced and celebrated in America..........and Christ is shunned.
All goes back to eyes on the wrong prize.

10. Hmmmm another church guilt trip.
Time and money. Who defines 'time and money'? Where does it say in Scripture that I have to teach VBS? Or volunteer to teach Sunday school. Maybe I am reaching out to the lost at my job? At the grocery store? To my service man? Why does man think HE can define "Gods Work".
Jesus was pretty clear on "Gods Work". It's in Scripture, and it's not the same in the church manifesto.

11. Scripture says if you 'hate your brother' than you are not of God. Ok. Pretty simple. So the closer we draw to God, the One True source of real Love, Agapeo Love, then we will be able to Love others, with His Love.
Scripture says anyone who claims to love God and yet hates his brother, is a liar.

12. Galatians 5:19-26

19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;
20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions
21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.
25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

First, Dear Deanna, you know I adore you and I admire your opinion and your straighforwardness.......so please don't think my reply here is 'slamming flamin' ya" it truly is not.

I just don't see where the Fruits of the Spirit say ANYTHING about: Church, Church people (ie christians) Church Programs, Church donations, Church attendance or lack there of, Church service, Church Projects, Church rules, Church nothing.

Jesus was not bound by a building........
He met people right where they were at. At work, At the well, Tied up in chains, Paralized, Blind, Mute, Naked.
He didn't 'hang out at church doing churchy things'.

He was with the people.
Because?
He loved them.
Was it safe? No.
Was it comfortable? No.
Was He surrounded by those who hated Him?
Yes
Why? Why do all these things outside the synagoge?
Love.
Real, for real. Love.

A Godly Family Plan

~~Devise a regular routine of living in our lives:
daily family & personal devotions
daily schooling
daily snack & meal time
daily chore assignments
~~Develop consistent & proper study habits
~~Teach proper table manners:
Eat and drink at table, seated properly
Wait for meal blessing quietly
~~Respect for other's property
~~Unfailing courtesy, esp. with siblings
~~You receive nothing you cry or whine for
~~Praises always for obedience and acts of respect
~~Respect the Sabbath/Lord's Day
~~Teach purity of language -- no slang terms
~~Recognize and accept differences in ability & personality
~~Accept that problems and interruptions will occur
~~Assign regular & consistent family chores
~~Maintain proper priority of work & study
~~Accept responsibility for the education of children at home
~~Conquer the Will of your children, not their Spirit
~~Maintain consistent discipline:
encourage open confession & forgiveness of wrongs
praise all acts of obedience
allow no sinful act to go unpunished
never bring up past offenses
accept intention over perfect performance sometimes
maintain priorities
No indulgences of self will can be trivial, no denial unprofitable; Heaven or Hell depends on this alone. A parent who studies to subdue it in his child works together with God in the renewing and saving of their soul. The parent who indulges it does the devil's work, makes religion impractical, salvation unattainable, and does all that in him lies to damn his child, soul and body, forever.

Our mission in life is not to go to some far-off foreign land, but to work at home and in our churches and home communities. Our goal should not be to leave behind riches and possessions, farms and homes for our children, but a priceless heritage they will cherish enough to work fervently to pass along to their children. It has been done for generations and with God's help it can still be done.
