Fried Apples like at Cracker Barrel Restaraunt

fettucini w/ meat sauce, green beans , communion bread and warm cinnamon apples

Here is a nice recipe to use when you have extra apples on hand.
Warm Cinnamon Apples
From Southern Living 2007 Annual Recipes
4 McIntosh Apples, peeled and sliced (about 2 lbs.)
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. nutmeg
2 T. water
1 T. butter

Toss first 4 ingredients in a large ziplock bag, tossing to coat the apples.  Cook apple mixture with the water and butter in a sauce pan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 8 to 10 minutes or until apples are tender.
Makes 6 servings
