• Thursday, June 29, 2006 - Pinky's Eyes Are Open!
Hi all! Our dear pinky has opened her eyes (actually a few weeks ago). She is a beauty, just adorable. My breeder, Jan from Diamond W said that Pinky is an active, walking, playing, happy baby! Unfortunately, we still have another 4 weeks before we can drive up to Arkansas to get her :-( . ahh well.. patience is a virtue! Take a look at this cutey yourself:

• Thursday, June 8, 2006 - Dew Claws or not dew claws...
that is the question! We’ve been discussing this on our forum for a bit and the general consensus seems to be that it is not totally necessary to remove puppies dew claws. It is a good precaution to take though. It seems that these little extra claws, can easily get caught on something and rip, causing pain. Also for breeds with bulgy eyes, like Pinky the pug , Boston Terriers, and such, it's a good idea because when they rub their eyes with the side of the paw, they could hurt themselves.
Because the process is one that is typically done very early in a pup’s life, I emailed my breeder to find out how she feels about dew claws. She said that she does remove them, at about 1 week of age. Great! One less thing for me to have to think about! She also sent me an updated picture of my pinky - who is all of 1.5 weeks old today! hehe

• Friday, June 2, 2006 - My persoonal puppy love..
My little pug pup was born on May 29th. I have to wait 8 weeks to go pick her up, all the way over in Arkansas! I found an amazing breeder, DiamondWPugs
This breeder came very highly referred, so I check them out. Excellent! She breeds for the friendliest, happiest, healthiest pug pups. I've spoken to several past customers that I found through her testimonials page, and they ALL gave rave reviews! They talked about how happy and healthy their pups were and still are, they bragged about her awesome facility, how clean and roomy it is. So after much research, many questions and pray....
little Ms. Tulla was born! (bet you've never seen one that little!)
As long as everything goes well, she will be coming home with us in 8 weeks! We are very excited and cannot wait!

• Friday, June 2, 2006 - Our family.. growing.. growing..
No it's not what you think! We did have an addition to out family this week, but not the type you're thinking about. Bane - hubby's american bulldog pup came to live with us this week! He is such a little (I use the word very loosely) bundle of fun. We went to pick him up from the farm on Wednesday. Thursday was his vet appt. and today he hung out with us. He's a happy fellow, and hubby is very happy too!
at the farm picking up puppy! (he's 8 weeks old! Yikes!)
This big boy is His daddy, now you see what we're looking at! because these are cattle herding dogs, this daddy would not take his eyes off of Myah, he kept trying to herd her with the most focused concentration I have ever seen in an animal. It was quit funny to watch. He'd make a great protection dog.
and here's little Bane, settling in at home! What a cute puppy...
whick brings me to my next topic! ....
