I gotta tell ya.. I was on my favorite forum at Homestead.org. One of the ladies there posted about her family member that works at a Tyson Chicken plant. Well, a truckload of dead chickens came in that died from a disease. Because the disease is not transferable to humans, they used the chickens anyway - even though they were DEAD!
I find that disgusting, and this is one of the many, many reasons I am set on building my small homestead.
On a brighter note, we knew we had monarchs on our little Yoshino flowering cherry, but it appears there is another type of little flutter bug that loves our tree. Here is one of our monarchs:

It appears, from web research, to be a Spiced Bush Swallowtail!
