Sugar Free Kettle Corn

{ 08:53, 2006-Mar-9 } { Posted in Recipes } { 2 comments } { Link }
While my girlfriend was here she showed me a few things to snack on that were a little more healthy. I have been eating this kettle corn like it is going out of style!

In large pot, cook up some regular style corn (I prefer white). When finished popping, sprinkle with two tablespoons Splenda or Steevia (if you can afford it). Salt to taste and enjoy!

I love Kettle Corn and so does Norm .... I'm going to try this!!! We air pop, most of the time, so that might work easily. Thank YOU>

I hate to admit this, but I wasn't sure how to cook popcorn. So I googled and it seems like you're supposed to use either water or oil. One place says enough salted water to cover (the kernels) another say 1/4 cup oil for 1/2 cup kernels (this one also adds 1/4 white sugar to the oil). Since stevia can withstand cooking, you could probably just add it to the water or oil that you're using to cook it? I don't think I'd heat an artificial sweetner (I'd be afraid of what would result)

Thanks for posting, I'm going to try it both ways (water and oil).
