It has been awhile since I have posted. Life has been so hetic. My
girlfriend and her husband came up from Missouri last month and we went
on a trip to Holmes County, Ohio (Amish Country). We enjoyed ourselves
so much I didn't want to leave! We got a cabin deep in the woods with a
hot tub and great scenery! My friend and I shopped til we dropped and
our husbands patiently awaited us. It went by entirely way too fast and
then my friend was gone. I miss her so. She is the only person close to
my heart that shares in as much as I do as far as homesteading, taking
care of our families, gardening, canning, etc. Then it has been back to getting organized with homeschooling my four younger children. They have been home for two and a half months now and it is still a blessing! Many are surprised I still have hair left. I think the main reason why it hasn't bothered me is that I KNOW where they are and I KNOW that they are safe and I KNOW what they are being taught and I KNOW what type of influence they have in their lives. It definatly make the sacrafice of all your alone time well worth it! I wouldn't trade it for anything. And we are definately having so much fun together. Learning is an experience for us all, not just for them. The biggest and most important point to having them home is that they get to learn with mommy about God's Word. They continue to grow and I am so proud of them. I have never seen such passion for their Jesus. I call them sponges! They just soak up whatever knowledge they can. We were playing Bible Bingo the other day and I asked each of the children what all the symbols meant and they knew!!! Praise the Lord! My heart was overwhelmed and I just started crying. On another note, I have been slowly getting back to myself since my back injury in August last year. I have been dealing with some pretty severe pain and it has been depressing me, which is somewhere I don't want to be. I finally gave in and went to the doctors. She gave me some anti-inflammatories and I have also been taking Tylenol Arthritis plus a calcium vitamin. I have been feeling better. I hope here soon I will feel up to some low impact exercise. I know that I need to get my back strengthened. I pray now that I have been feeling a little bit better that I will get back into a routine and become the wife and mother I was learning how to become before this happened. That has been the one thing that has bothered me the most! The pain I could deal with. How it was affecting my mind and family I couldn't deal with. But prayerfully I will be up to par here soon! I hope to be spending some more time on here and hope to have the time to check out some others blogs as well. Blessings to you all and yours! { Post a Comment } { Last Page } { Page 31 of 46 } { Next Page } |
