Breakfast TreatSince this recipe uses a lot of sugar and butter, I do not make it that often. I did make it the other day for my children and just forgot how good it was since it has been awhile. But if you feel like treating your kids in the morning, whip them up some Baked Oatmeal with Dutch Honey. Hint: Double up recipe for big family.Baked Oatmeal 1/2 cup butter 3 cups oatmeal (either regular or quick) 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup brown sugar 2 tsp. baking powder 2 eggs 1 cup milk Mix together. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Serve with milk and dutch honey. Makes 8 x 8 pan. Dutch Honey 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup evaporated or regular milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla Heat until almost boiling. DO NOT boil as the milk will curdle. { Post a Comment } { Last Page } { Page 20 of 46 } { Next Page } |
