Bulk Shopping

Good morning Ladies !!!

What a wonderful day in the Lord this is.The sun is shining, the rooster crowing, the birds chirping.Could it be that spring is around the corner?

Days like these make me long for spring. They are just a taste of the dish I want. When the sun is shining I want to go out and start digging.lol Oh well,I must wait.

Today I will be doing some bulk shopping.I have been getting my grocery list ready,my menu for the month ready, and I am set to go.I am not very fond,or have the time for week by week grocery shopping. With this in mind,I compiled a month worth of menus together and made up a grocery list for the month. This will save me lots of precious time and actually cost me less money. It seems when I buy in bulk and am not in the store every week I cut my impulse purchases way down{which saves money}. Over the next few days I will be posting some bulk recipes to help you in your quest to be a more efficient shopper and home planner.

I am looking for a good stand mixer this week also. Some of the things I want to try this month is breadmaking, making our own buttermilk and yogurt. With Kayti taking cake decorating classes,we are in great need of a high power stand mixer. Our little hand mixer screams each week while making stiff icing.lol

Well,I am off to finish up on my list.

Hope your day is wonderful and you are planning good things to do in your home this week.Be creative and bloom where you are planted.

Hugs,

Rachel

Hi, A few years ago, I shopped once a month. Then for some reason, I stopped. I can't remember why. Now I'm menu planning and shopping for 2 weeks at a time. I didn't use to menu plan for a month. I was just able to shop and only have to get milk and a few things like that. I even bought bread at the bread store and froze it. Now shopping at the bread store isn't much of a savings like it use to be. Is it hard to plan menus for a month at a time? I might want to try it. I have trouble sometimes with the 2 week menu. Blessings, Elizabeth
