Growing in Grace-Living Life One Day at a Time

Dieting inspiration

Here is some inspiration from my ebox today.Hope it helps you to keep pressing on if you are on this journey.

Proverbs 21:21
He that followeth after righteousness and mercy findeth life, righteousness, and honour.

Long-distance runners train themselves to think of the finish line. They visualize it just ahead. They say this keeps them from wanting to give up somewhere along the way. The reward of crossing the finish line is worth more than any pain or discomfort on the way. Dieters can learn from this. Instead of dwelling on how hungry we are, or how much we long for rich foods, we should continually think in terms of the rewards that await us at the end. Christians follow Christ with hope of a heavenly reward. Faith means we await something yet to come. Dieting means we live in the hope of trimming down and looking fit.

Today's thought: The reward of our diet is greater than the sacrifice

Keep on keeping on!!!!!

Today is my weigh in day and I am down 9 lbs in two weeks.Praise the Lord.

I know it is probably mostly water but I still feel good about it.My weight is something I struggle with daily.God is teaching me to let Him fight the battle, instead of me.I am not a very good fighter most days,so I need the Lord to be strong for me and be my strength and my fighter.

Well,I am off to get some more cleaning done, school is over and I am being a servant to my oldest son today{all week lol}by doing his laundry.

Hugs ,

Rachel

I have also been dieting for 2 weeks, and I'm thanking God that I've lost 5lbs. so far, and that it hasn't been very difficult.
Peace and blessings, Kim

I am so proud of you, and thankful for your inspiration. I have been making an attempt at dieting...well, not really, just making better choices. But we've had birthdays, birthdays, birthdays. Ice Cream, Ice Cream, Ice Cream. Better choices start today. My husband will be in Kansas for a whole month so I have started a countdown until he comes home. Just rationing sweets and committing to exercise daily until he comes home. I figure I can handle 35 days. Baby steps, you know.
Thanks for the blog...I needed to be inspired instead of beating myself up!
