The weather is threatening again, so Sandra wisely decided to stay home. I'm disappointed that she won't be able to join me for a dye day, but I'll be digging out my pots and working on some rovings after bunny chores. Laundry is high on the things to do list, too.
I spent a wonderful evening with friends and relatives at an author's talk in Floyd yesterday. To see my impressions of Lee Smith, visit At the Top of Squirrel Spur. My business accomplishments were minor but I cleaned house and had fun with the ladies!

Friday 24 March 2006 - dye day --- not

I've been going like a house on fire, it would have been a mini-vacation to join you in dyeing yarn. Snowsleeticy mix, had to get groceries (oh the joy of driving across two mountains in this kind of weather) and then fix lunch for whoever was here when I got home.
Baked apple pancake, milk, hot chocolate (yes, boys, it's homemade and what that means is "from scratch"...yes, boys I *can* make food "from scratch"...no, boys, I didn't use a mix...ummmm....what's a mix?).
Now I need to catch up on de-cluttering, finish my unakite bracelet and earrings, start a shawl and my knitted purse...and Dave is saying "GO take a nap!"
I'm anxious and fretful and testy and upset...my brother's wife of twenty-eight plus years has decided the grass is greener...trouble is, she's looking over the septic tank.
I want to hand her a broom and say, "sometimes life is messy, get a grip and clean up after youself!"
Maybe a nap *IS* the answer for me right now!
