Something I read in my Bible study notes...........This weeks notes are much like most weeks..........with the exception of this little ditty:The Believer, by Faith, one is buried with Christ, seeing in Christ's burial one's own burial of one's past. Like burning a bridge, one cannot go back. The victorious life is hindered by the memory and discouragement of past failures. Some people cannot live the abundant life because they cultivate a root of bitterness over past injustice. **To participate in Christ's burial is to put away once and for all the old ways of thinking, former wrong emotions, and attitudes toward God, others, and oneself, in order to be completely free from the past o live a new "resurrected" life. Matthew 26:41 KJV Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. **To Participate. To be part of? To do the same as? If this is the case, first, put away once and for all this below list? Root of Bitterness Old Ways Former Wrong Hindered Past Failures How? How do you 'put these away'? I put away folded laundry. I put away groceries. I put away money. But all these things, I put away for a time, only to revisit them later.
