Nursing a grudge?Have you ever been on the receiving end of a 'grudge'?Have you ever been the one, someone holds a 'grudge' against? You know who the grudge holder is. They are so easy to spot. You can tell they are holding a grudge. First, they watch your every move. Scrutinizing your every word, your every thing.....waiting for you to 'make a mistake'. Then they POUNCE like a tiger on it's prey to expose your error. Some grudge holders like to stay close.......meaning, it is easier for them to find fault if they stay close to you. That could mean they stay in your circle of friends, or they read your blog daily, or they call you or email you often......anything to stay in contact until they can get you to make an error so they can expose it. They act like they are a 'friend' but deep inside, they burn with anger and revenge. Grudge holders are relentless. They do not rest until they get 'their justice'. What ever that might be. Whatever they have made up in their minds, that justice should 'look like'. It's different for every grudge holder........ They want, and need to feel like they have 'defeated you'. Like the mighty hunter brings down the big prey,and stands over its dead body with pride............yep, that's what a grudge holder looks like! Grudge holders use their power, or worse, they suck up to those who have power to bring harm to the one they hold the grudge against. Sick, but holding grudges does this to a person! They will stop at nothing to bring harm to the one they are grudging against! People hold grudges for many reasons. I would guess that the 'root' of it all is Pride. Somehow, some way, the person that is holding the grudge has had a blow to their pride, and the person that delivered that blow is now the object of their grudge.
