The pain in this world...

This world has so much pain for so many!  Just today one of my husbands co-workers didn't come to work because her son was killed in an auto accident last night.  Two other people we know have husbands in the hospital due to complications, etc.  Another dear friend of mine is having problems with her well, etc things that just cost so much money.  We know someone else who is working hard, moving, etc.  with a load on their shoulders.  Another struggling through custody issues with her children.  It can seem so overwhelming to hear of so many things unless we keep our focus on Jesus.  He didn't promise us a cushy and easy life, but he did promise to be with us through it.  He didn't promise that everything would come up roses....or at least not without the thorns.  So, what can we do when there are so many needs, so many hurts, so much pain?  Well, first and foremost we can pray!  Prayer is not just something that we just do because we are supposed to.  We pray to a God who controls everything, who can provide anything that we need (whether financially, emotionally, physically, etc), who not only is there...but is really there...right where you are, and we pray to a God who loves us!  :)  We can also encourage through phone calls, cards, a gift, meal, etc.  We can also stand alongside!  Just being that shoulder, that friend! 

We aren't supposed to carry everything on our shoulders, we are to lift them to our Heavenly Father!  So, that is what I am doing today with the cares of those I care about!  How about you?
